Whether you’re meal prepping for the week, looking for a post-workout bite, or just want something quick and crave-worthy to keep on hand, these little guys check all the boxes. The sharp cheddar brings that classic savory punch, the jalapeño adds a subtle heat (don’t worry—it’s adjustable!), and the protein-rich dough means they’ll actually keep you full.

I’ve been known to eat a few straight out of the oven while standing at the counter—and my family grabs them just as fast. These are fun to make, easy to freeze, and guaranteed to disappear quickly. Let’s make a batch!

Why You’ll Love Cheddar Jalapeño High-Protein Bites

Savory with a kick – Just the right amount of heat from fresh jalapeños.
High in protein – Keeps you fuller, longer—no post-snack crash.
Freezer-friendly – Make a batch, freeze, and reheat whenever hunger strikes.

Tips for the Best Cheddar Jalapeño High-Protein Bites

Adjust the heat – Remove the jalapeño seeds for less spice, or keep them in if you love the kick!
Don’t skip the egg wash – It helps get that golden brown finish and makes a great base for topping with extra cheese or seeds.
Make it mini-meal worthy – Serve a few with a side of avocado or a boiled egg for a power-packed breakfast or lunch.

FAQs

Can I freeze them?

Yes! Let them cool completely, then freeze in a single layer. Reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350°F for about 5–7 minutes.

How spicy are they?

It depends on how many jalapeño seeds you leave in. For a milder bite, remove all the seeds and ribs. Want it hotter? Leave some in or add a dash of chili flakes.

Any serving suggestions for me?

Pair with sliced avocado or a soft-boiled egg for a quick high-protein breakfast.
Serve alongside salsa, ranch, or Greek yogurt dip for an easy party snack.
Pack a few in your lunchbox with veggies and hummus for a balanced mini meal.
