Apple Pie Overnight Oats

There’s something about fall that makes me crave cozy, comforting flavors, even when I’m on the go.
As a flight attendant, I don’t always have the luxury of a hot breakfast before a long day of flying.

A glass jar filled with creamy overnight oats topped with fresh apple chunks, pecans, and a sprinkle of cinnamon, surrounded by autumn leaves and apple slices.

My Apple Pie Overnight Oat recipe combines all the flavors of the season into a jar, featuring sweet apples, cinnamon, and a hint of maple. It tastes like dessert, but it’s nourishing enough to keep me fueled at 35,000 feet. The best part? I can prep a few jars before a trip and have breakfast ready for several mornings in a row.

I’ve lost count of how many early mornings I’ve stumbled into the galley at 5 AM, bleary-eyed and grateful I had the foresight to grab one of these jars from my fridge. While my coworkers are hunting for stale airport pastries or paying $9 for a tiny cup of yogurt, I’m already settled in with something that actually tastes good and keeps me satisfied through the morning service rush.

Why You’ll Love Apple Pie Overnight Oats

Cozy fall flavors – Tastes just like apple pie but in a wholesome, grab-and-go breakfast.
Perfect for busy mornings – No cooking required; just prep the night before.
Customizable – Swap in your favorite milk, add extra toppings, or adjust sweetness to your taste.

Tips for the Best Apple Pie Overnight Oats

Use rolled oats – Quick oats can get too mushy, and steel-cut oats won’t soften enough overnight.
Add crunch just before serving – Keep walnuts or granola in a small container or baggie, and sprinkle on top when you’re ready to eat.
Prep in batches – Make 3–4 jars at once so you’re set for your whole trip or week of mornings.
